HOW GREAT THY ART
When I view the mighty ocean or a babbling brook
Or watch a cloudy sky unfolding like a book
When I stand within a garden on a lovely summer's morn,
And view majestic mountains or a field of waving corn.
So much I do not under stand, but from a grateful heart
I join the mighty chorus, saying "God how great thy art"
When I think of Eden's garden, when man had his every need,
And how he lost communion through coveting and greed
Christ too was in the garden praying "Not my will but thine"
From there to Calvary's mountain where he gave his life for mine
I do not understand it all, but from a grateful heart,
I join the mighty chorus "Jesus,Lord how great thy art".
When I think how sin and Satan are around on every hand
Seeking to make mankind fulfil his evil plan,
When sinners are convicted and converted from their sin
I do not understand it, how the Spirit enters in
But this I know and I can say from a grateful heart
To Father, Son and Spirit, "HOW,GREAT, THY ART".
We will try to change the poem every month.
